PM Modi to chair Council of Ministers meet on Sunday
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lead a gathering of the Union Council of Ministers on Sunday, which is expected to mark the final such assembly during the latter part of his government’s second term, given the looming Lok Sabha elections slated for April-May this year.
The meeting, scheduled for 9:30 am at the Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in the capital, holds particular significance as the BJP-led ruling National Democratic Alliance expresses confidence in securing a third consecutive term in power.
The Election Commission is anticipated to unveil the electoral timetable within a couple of weeks.

Notably, in 2014, the Election Commission revealed the schedule for the nine-phase Lok Sabha elections on March 5, with results announced on May 16, while in 2019, the poll panel announced the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections on March 10, with results declared on May 23.
