Punjabi Cinema experimenting with Success to evolve fully: Binn Dhillon Enthralls Audiences at TiECON

Stating that the moment regional cinema starts experiementing means success is certain, aclamined actor & comedian Binnu Dhillon on Friday here said that Punjabi Cinema is on the right track in a transition phase experimenting with success and technology.
“Technology has radically changed the face of Cinema worldwide and our Punjabi Movie Industry is not far behind in adapting to upgradations to make better movies, Binnu Dhillon said here during a session discussion at TiECON Chandigarh 2026 earlier in the day.
The views were expressed during the discussion held on the topic ‘How Punjab became the world’s most exported culture’. The session was moderated by Branch Manager Vritti Solutions Limited Kamaldeep Singh which saw a jam-packed hall cheering to Binnu Dhillon and his lead actress of his forthcoming movie Khushkhabri sitting in the audience.
Listing out the challenges before the Industry including the ever-looming threat of Piracy, Binnu Dhillon said that the evolving nature of our regional Cinema would also successfully navigate all such hurdles to lead out all regional cinemas with a sustainable story telling mechanism.
While responding to a question, Binnu Dhillon said that only thing which can stop an individual or an organisation from attaining lasting success is the moving away from one’s roots.
“Always remember the sacrifices of your parents and well wishers to remain grounded, Binnu Dhillon further said adding that no one can laugh without the blessings of their parents.
Taking part in the discussion, Managing Director Colab Platforms and Chief Patron Big Cricket League Puneet Singh said that it was his dream to turn his passion for Cricket into his profession, and he has been fortunate enough to share dressing room with his Cricketing heroes through organising Sport Leagues.
Puneet Singh who has also co-founder Entertainers Cricket League said that 88% of all active sport is being consumed in the form of Cricket in India.
“Binnu himself wanted to become a Cricketer. Shikhar Dhawan wanted to become a musician, but it’s their destinies which have taken them to different paths which are equally fulfiling, Puneet Singh further said.
Complementing his thoughts, Binnu said that by being a part of several Cricket Leagues he has been greatly exposed to so many of beautiful cultures and ethos including Telugu, Kannada and much more. This experience has taught me so much in my career, Binnu Dhillon averred.
Hosted annually in the City Beautiful, TiE Chandigarh has rightfully garnered its place in the calendar as the region’s largest entrepreneurial conclave and the most awaited IT event of the year where established investors, budding entrepreneurs and those related with the IT and allied sectors alike converge. The event held last year had also witnessed enthusiastic participation from the leaders of the IT industry from across the country.
