Though their popular Connaught Place (CP), Delhi outlet opened in 2012, the roots of Hira Sweets date back over 125 years to Shahdara, where it was founded by Pandit Hira Lal Sharma in 1912. Over the decades, the brand has become synonymous with iconic delights such as balushahi, pista burfi, gajar halwa, and motichoor laddoos, drawing customers from across North India.

The current expansion is being led by the next generation of the Sharma family, carrying forward the rich culinary heritage of Late Shri Ram Babu Sharma, a respected Congress leader in Delhi and the former owner of Hira Sweets.

The grand opening was marked with Sukhmani Sahib path , samplings of traditional sweets, and a warm welcome to residents and sweet lovers across the Tricity. Speaking on the occasion spokesperson Anjandeep Singh shared, “We are not just offering sweets, but a legacy of taste and trust that spans more than a century. Mohali is a vibrant and growing market, and we are excited to be a part of it.”
