Thrill Zone Hosts the 14th Punjab Half Marathon 2024, Drawing Over 1,500 Runners Nationwide

The 14th Punjab Half Marathon, organized by Thrill Zone, concluded with over 1,500 runners from across India taking part in the event held at Chandigarh Club, Sector 1. Participants ran along a scenic, well-marked route to IT Park and back, competing in three categories—21.097 km, 10 km, and 5 km—with a strong turnout of 28% female and 72% male runners.

In a special inclusion, 15 visually impaired runners from Punjab University joined, embodying the marathon’s inclusive spirit. Winners (names and timings forthcoming) delivered remarkable performances that highlighted the competitive energy of the event.

Maj Gen Mathew Jacob, Commandant of the Military Hospital, Western Command, attended as the Chief Guest, while Gaurav Karjee served as the Race Director.

This marathon marks the 115th event by Thrill Zone since its founding in 2015 by PC Kushwaha. The organization has been instrumental in promoting fitness and community through marathons across India. Runners received full support, including race T-shirts, medals, certificates, hydration, refreshments, and medical assistance.

The next edition of the biannual marathon is scheduled for April 27, 2024, with Thrill Zone aiming for a record 5,000 participants as it continues to build the running community in India.
