Following Mukhtar Ansari’s death from a cardiac arrest, his son, Umar Ansari, claimed that his father had been poisoned and vowed to seek legal recourse. Umar Ansari alleged that his family had not been informed about the situation by the authorities and had learned about it through the media. He stated their intention to approach the judiciary and expressed confidence in the legal process.
Umar Ansari revealed that his father had previously accused the authorities of administering poison to him. He mentioned plans for a post-mortem examination and expressed mistrust in the circumstances surrounding his father’s death. Additionally, he highlighted concerns about the medical treatment provided to Mukhtar Ansari while in custody.
The body of Mukhtar Ansari was taken to Banda Medical College Hospital for a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, leaders from various political parties, including Samajwadi Party and Congress, have called for a thorough investigation into his death.
