Top 5 Horror movies to watch in 2023

The main motive of watching a horror movie is to fear, shock, frighten and trigger the audience by showing some scary and threating scenes. Why are people attracted to horror movies? Well , this remained a constant question of mine before I went for a full fledge research on this and prepared a thesis on this, but don’t worry I haven’t published the entire research paper here…it is just the important points that provide you with the top 5 horror movies to watch this year!!

So here we go !!!

1. M3GAN:-

Well, this story revolves around a roboticist named Gemma, who with the help of her Artificial Intelligence creates a human-like doll, named as M3GAN. Therefore, the outer overview reveals that Gemma gifts this AI Human-like doll to her orphaned niece and wishes that this doll takes care of her niece…however, it packs up on how dangerous and harmful that doll can turn out to be. This movie is all set to release on 13th January, 2023. The director of this super trending film is Gerard Johnstone.

Well, there are many questions there on the internet about where this movie is releasing…weather it is available on Netflix or not?

So, here’s the answer to that question…well, there are some trusted sources that claim that m3gan is on Netflix but though there are some sources that say that for some while it may not be available on Netflix, so this remains a mystery…but therefore, HULU or Amazon Prime for streaming this amazingly binge watching horror movie.

2. Winnie-the-Pooh: blood and honey

This film has gained so much of popularity in spite of being a low budget and also indie film. So, basically Christopher has grown up and has dumped all his friends of the forest and now Winnie the pooh and piglet have become thirsty bloody criminals or killers who are after Christopher and his friends who have also grown up simultaneously.

So, this movie is to be released on 15th February, 2023.  Well this may be released on Disney+ on 8th July! The director of this film is:- Rhys Waterfield. Well the tag line on the poster is quite eye-catchy… as it says…. “We’ll be friends forever, won’t we?”.

 

 

3. Renfield

Renfield is basically a horror-comedy film, which is directed by Chris McKay which is based on a original idea of Robert Kirkman. This movie stars Nicholas Hoult . The film is basically about count Dracula’s henchman who has fallen in love and now hustles to come out of his line of living. It is to be released on April 2023.

Amazingly, after some research I came to a conclusion that Renfield is available for streaming on TUBI, Prime Video or Apple TV.

 

 

 

 

4. Knock at the Cabin

Well, this movie is based on the book “The cabin at the end of the world”, this shows up about a family that goes for a vacation and ends up being detained by four armed men and they demand for a sacrifice to prevent the apocalypse.

This film is directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

5. The Exorcist

This movie was basically supposed to release 50 years after the 1973 The Exorcist, this movie revolves around a teenage girl who is possessed by a mysterious entity, and her mother takes help from two priests.

The Director of this film is William Friedkin. The release date of this film is 13th October, 2023.
