PHDCCI organised Green Future Leadership Summit Unveiling the vision for a Sustainable Tomorrow

The Green Future Leadership Summit, organized by the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry), was held on Wednesday at Hotel Hyatt Regency, Chandigarh. The summit brought together policymakers, industry leaders, innovators, and clean energy advocates from Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh to accelerate the region’s transition toward clean and sustainable energy solutions. Special focus was placed on the rapidly evolving solar power and electric vehicle (EV) sectors.

Chief Guest on the occasion, Hon’ble Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Governor of Punjab and Administrator of U.T. Chandigarh, underscored the critical need for sustainable development and remarked:
“Clean energy is not merely a policy choice—it is a moral imperative. By promoting innovation in the solar and EV sectors, we are not just investing in sustainable technology but also securing the future well-being of our coming generations.”

The summit recognized excellence and leadership in the clean energy domain while facilitating high-impact discussions on innovation, scalability, and policy reform. It served as a vital platform for collaboration among startups, corporations, environmental organizations, and government representatives committed to climate-conscious growth.
Sh. Karan Gilhotra, Chair, Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI&Sh. JatinDahiya, Co-Chair, Punjab State Chapter, PHDCCI emphasized upon PHDCCI’s long-standing role in supporting policy innovation, stakeholder dialogue, and industrial transformation to create scalable, sustainable models for clean energy adoption and drive economic transformation across Northern India.

“This summit reaffirms our commitment to fostering innovation, encouraging sustainable practices, and aligning industry efforts with national and regional clean energy goals,” said Gilhotra.

Ms. Bharti Sood, Regional Director, PHDCCImentioned that the key sessions explored models for large-scale solar adoption, emerging trends in EV technology, and supportive policy frameworks necessary for clean energy proliferation across North India.
Various Panel Discussionswere held during the summit and were moderated by Sh. BrhameshAlipuria, Consultant and Sh. Pankaj Kumar, Quant Solar Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The esteemed panelists comprised of Sh. Navneet K. Srivastava, IFS, CEO, CREST; Sh. Sukhwinder Singh, CREST; Sh. M.P. Singh, PEDA; Sh. Deepak Popli, UHBVNL; Sh. Mohit Gupta, PSPCL; Sh. Balbir Singh, CPDL; Sh. Sukhchain Singh, HAREDA and Sh. Tarun Malhotra, Convener, Regional Cyber Security& AI Committee, PHDCCI.

A felicitation ceremony held thereafter where the Hon’ble Governor felicitated government departments and industry pioneers from Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh for their leadership in renewable energy, circular economy, and climate resilience.

The Green Future Leadership Summit 2025 concluded with a strong collective resolve to drive meaningful change and to build a greener, cleaner, and more energy-resilient future.
