Janhvi Kapoor & Sidharth Malhotra Playfully Decode Dating in Param Sundari Promo Clip

With just weeks to go before its theatrical release, Maddock Films has ramped up promotions for its upcoming romantic comedy Param Sundari by dropping a fun, light-hearted promotional video featuring leads Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra. The duo engages in a playful segment identifying “red flags” and “green flags” in dating—offering fans a quirky preview of the chemistry and humor the film promises.

Shared with the caption “Your dating handbook just dropped, take notes from the greenest flags!”, the post teases the film’s youthful tone. The trailer for Param Sundari is now live, with the film set to hit cinemas on August 29, 2025—pushed back from its originally announced July 25 release. The promotional shift suggests a strategic move to build sustained buzz around what Maddock Films is calling “the biggest love story of the year.”

Directed by Tushar Jalota and produced by Dinesh Vijan, Param Sundari follows a modern romantic storyline, layered with cultural quirks, millennial humor, and plenty of chemistry between the leads. The promotional video highlights this, featuring red-flag examples like “says idli is just wet bread” and green flags like “eats dosa from the middle,” blending relatable desi references with Gen Z relationship lingo.

While the campaign has largely been met with excitement, Janhvi Kapoor’s performance in the clip has drawn mixed reactions online, echoing past critiques from audiences who feel she sometimes overacts in comic sequences. A 2023 web article discussing similar feedback has resurfaced, stirring conversations about how public perception of her acting may impact the film’s reception.

Despite the chatter, the film’s humorous tone, star power, and culturally embedded storytelling remain its strongest draws. With Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor leading a stylish and vibrant rom-com, Param Sundari looks primed to deliver laughs, love, and enough red flags to keep audiences talking well past its release.
