The show has shut down production three weeks early as a show of solidarity with the Writers Guild of America.
The remaining hosts/musical guests for the season were Pete Davidson/Lil Uzi Vert (May 6), Kieran Culkin/Labrinth (May 13) and Jennifer Coolidge/Foo Fighters (May 20).
Instead, NBC will air reruns for the rest of the season. The regular cast members for Season 48 are Michael Che, Mikey Day, Andrew Dismukes, Chloe Fineman, Heidi Gardner, Punkie Johnson, Colin Jost, Ego Nwodim, Kenan Thompson, and Bowen Yang.
The featured players are Marcello Hernandez, James Austin Johnson, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow, Sarah Sherman, and Devon Walker.
Colin Jost and Michael Che continue to anchor “Weekend Update” as they have done since September 2014, and the show won its 93rd Emmy award last year, making it the most successful show in the history of the Television Academy.
