The announcement was confirmed by Lt. Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta, highlighting Ladakh’s support for the film and its creators.

Produced by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, alongside a powerhouse ensemble including Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The movie revolves around large-scale covert intelligence operations inspired by real-life events, combining high-octane action with gripping storytelling, which has resonated strongly with viewers across the globe.

The tax-free declaration is seen as a recognition of the film’s overwhelming popularity and its positive reception among audiences. Ladakh’s scenic locales, extensively featured in Dhurandhar, also play a key role in the storytelling, showcasing the region as an attractive destination for filmmakers while giving fans stunning visual backdrops for the thriller’s intense sequences.
