The Kerala State Film Awards ceremony is scheduled for Thursday:- Filmmaker T.V. Chandran will receive the J.C. Daniel Award, the highest film honor conferred by the State government.
At 6 p.m. on Thursday, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will preside over the presentation of the Kerala State Film Awards 2022 during an event to be held at the Nishagandhi auditorium.
A grand total of 47 figures from the world of cinema, including Mammootty, Kunchacko Boban, Vincy Aloshious, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Mahesh Narayanan, Rafeeq Ahammed, and Ratheesh Balakrishnan Poduval, will be honored with awards for the year. During the ceremony, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will personally bestow the J.C. Daniel Award, the most prestigious film accolade awarded by the State government, upon filmmaker T.V. Chandran.
Television Honor
Shyamaprasad is set to be honored with the Television Lifetime Achievement Award for the year 2021. Following the award presentation, there will be a musical performance titled “Hemanthayamini,” featuring timeless songs by poet and lyricist P. Bhaskaran, performed by renowned playback singers. The event will have the presence of Minister for Cultural Affairs Saji Cherian, Labour Minister V. Sivankutty, Transport Minister Antony Raju, Food and Civil Supplies Minister G.R. Anil, and several other dignitaries.
