“Sanjay Singh is digging his own political grave…”: BJP

The BJP’s national spokesperson, Gaurav Bhatia, stated that Sanjay Singh from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is jeopardizing his political future by breaching certain bail conditions outlined by the Supreme Court. Bhatia emphasized that when the Supreme Court granted bail to Singh, it imposed conditions, one of which was refraining from making public comments regarding the excise policy case.

During a press briefing, Bhatia expressed concern over Singh’s actions, accusing him of initiating a harmful pattern by openly discussing the case in which he is implicated. Bhatia emphasized that Singh, like Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, remains an accused individual, as he hasn’t been acquitted or cleared by the court, despite being granted bail. Bhatia criticized Singh for giving Kejriwal and Sisodia a clean chit and violating the bail terms established by the Supreme Court.

Furthermore, Bhatia criticized AAP leaders, stating that disrespecting the Constitution is ingrained in their behavior. He accused senior AAP members of being deceitful and disrespectful towards constitutional institutions, including the Supreme Court. Bhatia concluded by suggesting that Singh’s actions are leading him towards political downfall, along with Kejriwal and Sisodia.

Earlier in the day, Sanjay Singh alleged that the liquor scam is a conspiracy orchestrated by the BJP to incriminate Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Singh claimed that top BJP figures are complicit in the scheme. During a press conference in Delhi, Singh, who was recently released on bail, accused the BJP of engineering the scam and attempting to incarcerate Kejriwal.

Singh attempted to implicate the scam with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, citing a person accused in the scam who is allegedly seeking votes for the Telugu Desam Party using Modi’s image. Singh questioned the relationship between the accused individual and the Prime Minister, highlighting the contradictory actions of the individual seeking votes while being labeled a scamster by the BJP and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

It’s noteworthy that Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in connection with the alleged liquor scam, with his judicial custody extended until April 15. The ED has accused the AAP of benefiting from the proceeds of the alleged crime, claiming Kejriwal’s direct involvement in formulating the excise policy.
