NGO Tammana | Event #169
This Raksha Bandhan, NGO Tammana launched a thoughtful and inspiring initiative titled “Raksha For Nature”, a symbolic act of tying a Rakhi not just to our loved ones, but also to Mother Earth.
In today’s world where our connection with nature is rapidly fading, this campaign stood as a reminder that just as we vow to protect our loved ones, we must also take responsibility for protecting the Earth.
It was more than a campaign. It was a noble movement rooted in awareness, gratitude, and action.
The initiative aimed to:
• Spread awareness about environmental responsibility
• Encourage individuals of all ages to reconnect with nature
• Transform a traditional festival into a meaningful environmental action
• Bring families together through a shared activity of planting saplings
The event saw enthusiastic participation from Tammana’s core team members, numerous interns, public volunteers, and their family members, including young children. Each participant planted one or more saplings at their home or in a nearby park ; a small act with a big impact.
Every sapling planted symbolized a promise for a safer, greener, and more conscious tomorrow.
Every single contribution mattered, and that’s the true success of this movement.
Founder President Isha Kakaria shared :
“Raksha For Nature is more than a celebration. It’s a seed of responsibility sown in every heart, towards love, awareness, and gratitude for nature.”
