‘Queen of the Road’ Women’s Car Rally to Celebrate International Women’s Day in Gurugram

Marking the occasion of International Women’s Day, a special women’s car rally titled “Queen of the Road” will be organized in Gurugram on March 8 by Womanii.com in collaboration with ACN Network. The initiative aims to challenge stereotypes surrounding women drivers and celebrate women’s confidence and independence on the road.

The rally is expected to witness participation from around 50–60 women, including nearly 25 women drivers, who will drive along a designated route across Gurugram. The rally will begin from Crowne Plaza Gurugram in Sector 29 after completion of participant registration and verification of vehicle documents.

Prior to the flag-off, participants will receive a briefing on safety guidelines and rally protocols. The event will be flagged off by City Magistrate Ms. Sapna Yadav and national race driver Ms. Bani Yadav, who will serve as special guests for the occasion.

The rally route will take participants from the starting point through Signature Tower and Rajiv Chowk, before proceeding along National Highway 48 and then towards National Highway 248A, popularly known as the Sohna–Alwar Road. Drivers will take a U-turn near the Ghamroj Toll and conclude the rally at Mansa Grand Banquet Hall, covering an estimated distance of about 25 kilometres.

The rally will be organized under the guidance of experienced car rally organizer Sanjay Kaushik, who will brief participants about the rules and guidelines of the event. Organizers have clarified that the rally will not be a competitive race, but rather a disciplined and safe fun drive where participants are expected to strictly follow traffic regulations.

Speaking about the initiative, Kanchan Gupta and Lovleen Dhaliwal, founders of Womanii.com, said the rally has been planned with all safety standards in mind. They noted that women are often stereotyped as poor drivers, and the event aims to challenge such perceptions while highlighting that women can drive confidently and responsibly.

After the rally concludes at the destination venue, participants will be felicitated with trophies and certificates, followed by a series of interactive games and activities designed to celebrate the spirit of women’s empowerment.

The event is being supported by several partners including Paras Hospital Gurugram, Crowne Plaza Gurugram, Mansa Grand Banquet Hall (Bhondsi), Aristaa, O’Gardner, Paisley, Surya Ethnic, Pep Mind, Atam Enterprises, Pixel Eyes, with Bold Sky serving as the media partner.
