Punjab Governor Visits Chandigarh Spinal Rehab, Applauds Spirit of Courage

In a heartfelt visit that highlighted the power of resilience and human spirit, Punjab Governor and UT Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria visited Chandigarh Spinal Rehab in Sector 28. The Governor took a round of the facility, interacted with patients, and shared words of encouragement that moved both inmates and staff.
The occasion saw the presence of all Trustees and Governing Board members, LC Gupta, Chief Financial Officer, Punjab Kings (IPL team) and Madhvi Kataria, State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities.
Addressing the gathering, Governor Kataria described the centre as a “sacred place where giving up is not an option.” He praised the inmates for their courage and willpower, saying, “This is not merely a program, but a celebration of inner strength and renewed spirit. Many of you have turned adversity into a beacon of inspiration for others.”
Applauding the dedication of the entire team of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab, he added, “You don’t just provide treatment — you instill dignity and self-respect”, he said, promising continued government support for such institutions. He added the efforts made by Founder Nicky P Kaur, is unique and not many people take up such a noble and challenging initiative. He said even family members lose hope at times in such situations, adding that working tirelessly for spinal injuries patients and bringing smiles on their faces is the biggest service to mankind.
Extending a warm welcome, Nicky P. Kaur, Founder and CEO of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab, expressed her gratitude to the Governor and said, “It was indeed a privilege to host the UT Administrator. His visit is not only a huge morale boost for our patients but also a strong endorsement of the work we do.”
The inmates also presented Vande Mataram – A short musical performance by Flowing Karma- India’s first Band on Wheels. An audio-visual presentation on Chandigarh Spinal Rehab was also given on the occasion.
