A plantation drive was carried out by Georgian Association (North), fraternity at Railway Protection Force, Chandigarh on Saturday. A total of around 720 assorted saplings were planted and handed over to Mr Amrinderjit Singh, OIC, and his team from RPF Chandigarh.
The saplings were provided by Mr Suresh Dalal, Chief Conservator of Forest, Haryana and his team.
The plantation drive was the second in the series of social responsibilities undertaken by members of the Georgian Association (North) under their President Col Rajan Kadyan (Retd).
The first drive was at Kalka Military Station, where 120 plus fruit tree saplings were planted and handed over to Army personnel, under Col Vinay Kumar, Station Commander and his team by Team Georgian in the presence of Alumni Brig Virandra Kumar, Dr S S Rana and Col MS Rana.
