The above idea was expressed by Chandigarh Mayor Anup Gupta, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Indian Institute of Architects, Fire and Security Association of India and Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRE), The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India.
He was addressing the architects from different states by participating as the chief guest in the Architecture Excellence Recognition Award organized during the ninth four-day Ins and Out Show organized in collaboration with.
Praising the awards program organized by the Chamber, He said that it is important to recognize the work being done in any field.
On this occasion, Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Architect Namita Singh, Public Service Government Architect was given to Sumit Kaur, and Architect of the Year Award was given to Sangeeta Sharma.
Apart from this, the Urban Planning Department of Chandigarh Administration was honoured with the Architecture Gems of Chandigarh Award.
On this occasion, Madhusudan Vij, Chairman, PHDCCI Chandigarh Chapter, said that while the Chamber works as a bridge between the government and industrialists, it also honours the talents of leading people from various fields by honouring them.
