The Chief Justice of India and other legal dignitaries also paid tribute to Nariman, acknowledging his immense contributions to jurisprudence. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also shared their sadness at his passing, highlighting his significant impact on Indian law. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and other legal figures also remembered Nariman’s legacy, recognizing his pivotal role in shaping landmark cases and inspiring generations of jurists. Nariman’s passing marks the end of an era in the legal community, leaving behind a profound void. Born in Myanmar in 1929, Nariman began his law practice in Bombay in 1950 and received several honors during his illustrious career, including the Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awards.
