Khalsa College Amritsar signed MoUwith Haryana Knowledge Corp Ltd

Khalsa College Amritsar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL), an organisation promoted by the Government of Haryana. The MoU was signed by Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa, Principal, Khalsa College Amritsar, and Mr. Abhijeet Kulkarni, Managing Director and CEO, HKCL.

As per MoU, HKCL will provide support in building a multidisciplinary higher education ecosystem in Khalsa College, Amritsar, in adherence to the transformative ethos of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), National Credit Framework (NCrF) 2023, National Higher Education Qualification Framework (NHEQF), and in compliance with the guidelines issued by UGC, AICTE, etc. for implementation of NEP.

For this purpose, Khalsa Global Reach Skill Development Centre of Khalsa College Amritsar and HKCL will jointly run about 30 Skill Development Programmes which will produce skilled professionals in different sectors of society.

It is worthwhile to mention that Haryana Knowledge Corporation Limited (HKCL) has already been running various skill development programmes for last more than 11 years, and more than 2 lakh citizens have benefitted from these courses.

S. Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, Honorary Secretary, Khalsa College Charitable Society, Amritsar, congratulated the Principal Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa and Dr. Ajay Sehgal, Director of Khalsa Global Reach Skill Development Centre, for this innovative step which will benefit the society at large.

The principal on this occasion said that there is a direct need of skilled professionals, and Khalsa Global Reach Skill Development Centre is taking all out efforts to provide skills and bridge this gap.

Among others present were Dr. Taminder Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs; Dr. Amit Anand, Head, Dept. of Chemistry; Dr. S.S. Manto, Director Carrier Guidance Cell, Khalsa College Amritsar; Ashish Kumar, Programme Manager; and Vikas Bishnoi, Business Analyst, HKCL.
