Kajol has set social media ablaze with the intense new motion poster for her upcoming film Maa, a mythological horror drama slated for release on June 27, 2025. Sharing the poster with a powerful caption — “When a mother breaks… a Goddess is born” — Kajol teased the emotional and supernatural depth of her role, while announcing the trailer’s release for tomorrow.
Directed by Vishal Furia (Chhorii), Maa blends mythological themes with horror, unraveling the story of a mother who is pushed beyond human limits to protect her child from dark, supernatural forces. The fiery visuals in the motion poster and the goddess-like transformation hinted at in the tagline suggest a chilling yet empowering narrative, steeped in cultural symbolism and maternal strength.
Produced by Jio Studios, Devgn Films, and T-Series, the film features an ensemble cast including Ronit Roy and Indraneil Sengupta. It will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Bengali, aiming to reach a wide pan-Indian audience.
Maa promises to offer a unique cinematic experience—melding mythology, emotion, and terror into a story about a woman who becomes divine in the face of evil. With the trailer arriving tomorrow and the poster already generating buzz, Kajol’s Maa is shaping up to be one of 2025’s most talked-about releases.
