According to security force officials, an Indian Air Force soldier who was wounded in a terrorist assault in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir has succumbed to injuries, while another remains in critical condition. The deceased soldier passed away during medical treatment at the hospital.
Officials stated, “One of the five Indian Air Force soldiers injured in the terrorist attack has passed away in the hospital during treatment. One more soldier is critical and undergoing treatment, while the remaining three are stable.”
The attack, which targeted an Indian Air Force vehicle convoy in the Poonch sector, resulted in injuries to military personnel. It occurred in the evening near the Shah Sitar area. Subsequently, security forces initiated a search and cordon operation in the region.
In response to the attack, security forces have heightened patrolling and vehicle inspections in the area.
