Gurseerat to participate in Boxing Championship trials in Abu Dhabi

Fourteen-year-old Gurseerat Kaur, student of Mount Carmel School, Sector 47, has won a Gold Medal and secured the first position in the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championship trials held in Rohtak, Haryana, from August 8-11. She will now participate in the ASBC Asian Junior & Schoolboys & Schoolgirls Boxing Championship to be held in Al Ain City, Abu Dhabi, from August 27 to September 10, 2024.

Gurseerat had won a Gold Medal in the 3rd Sub Junior National Boxing Championship held in Greater Noida on 25th March, 2024. She was also awarded the title of ‘Best Boxer in UT’ by the Chandigarh Amateur Boxing Association, Chandigarh, on 9th March, 2024. Gurseerat had also bagged a gold medal in the 67+ category in the 3rd Sub Junior National Boxing Championship-2024. Gurseerat’s father Kanwal Deep Singh is working as the Chief Security Officer at Fortis Hospital Mohali.
