Ms. Arshpreet Kaur & Ms. Taranjot Kaur (members of digital safety club) of GGDSD College, chandigarh organized a workshop cum interactive session on “cyber security” at Government girls model senior secondary school, sector 20 B chandigarh at 7 day NSS special camp. It was in collaboration with Cyber Cell Chandigarh Police and digital safety club (GGDSD college).
The event was graced by ASI Mr. Shubhash chandra and Mr. Sarvind , cyber expert, Chandigarh Police. The event was hosted by NSS Programme officer Mrs. Sunita Sheron. The cyber experts and cyber soldiers informed the students about various types of cyber crimes and the preventive measures respectively. Through the session 100+ students were sensitized.
The cyber interns interacted with the NSS volunteers and some of them shared their stories of getting trapped in cyber crimes. Students were empowered about cyber security and thanked the cyber experts for enlightenment. Two slogans were raised at the end : STRANGER IS DANGER and STAY SAFE STAY AWARE. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by NSS programme officer Mrs. Kamaljit Kaur.
