A Family Walkathon, was organized by DLF City Centre in Chandigarh. The walkathon was flagged off by Mr. Narinder Lubana, Municipal Councillor and Mr Niraj Kumar from DLF City Centre management. The walkathon received an encouraging response, recoring a participation of nearly 300 tricity residents. Families including kids joined the event aimed at raising awareness about safeguarding the environment by adopting eco-friendly lifestyle practices.

The Walkathon was flagged-off from DLF City Centre Mall under three time slot categories – 15 mins, 30 mins and 45 mins with an earmarked route for the walking enthusiasts. The number of steps taken by participants were recorded through an app. The theme was centred around individuals acting as climate warriors to contribute towards a Sustainable Future.

Not just the walk but several exciting activities such as Zumba, special family carnival, art and craft etc were also held to mark the occasion.

The event also saw the presence of celebrities. The cast and crew of web series ‘Drisyam 4’ directed by Rveer was present. The web series is being presented by Kamerock Films and Boomax App. There was a live performance of the series original song by Aman Danoda, Roop Kaur and Harman Khan. RJ Vandita and stand-up comedian Jr Rinku Bhabi also regaled the audience.  A lucky draw was also held, and the winner was awarded a Tata Stryder cycle.
