The Enforcement Directorate (ED) recently conducted a series of raids on the residence of former IAS officer Mohinder Singh in Chandigarh, leading to significant recoveries. Authorities confiscated diamonds valued at ₹12 crore, gold worth ₹7 crore, and ₹1 crore in cash from his residence.
The ED’s operations extended to various locations, including Delhi, Meerut, Noida, and Chandigarh, as part of an ongoing investigation. Mohinder Singh, who also served as the former CEO of the Noida Authority, was a key target of the raids. Among the assets seized, a single diamond valued at ₹5 crore was found during the operations.
In addition to the findings at Mohinder Singh’s residence, authorities also recovered jewellery worth ₹5 crore from the premises of a businessman and builder in Meerut. The ED’s investigation appears to focus on uncovering hidden wealth and assets accumulated through potentially illicit means across multiple cities. These raids are part of a larger crackdown by the ED on high-profile individuals suspected of financial wrongdoing.
