An all PINK Walkathon is being organised by NGO Tammana

An all PINK Walkathon is being organised by NGO Tammana on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Sukhna Lake, to mark the Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Founder President Isha Kakaria shares that since October is seen as a month of celebration but also a quite reflection and even mourning; it dedicated annually to educating all about breast cancer. Aim for the Walkathon is to Support the Fighters, Admire the Survivors, and Honour the Taken.
The event will educate about how Breast cancer manifests differently for each person, sometimes with no visible symptoms. But one should be vigilant for warning signs such as new lumps, swelling, skin & size changes, nipple abnormalities, or pain in any area of the breast. It is also to keep in mind, these signs can also indicate non-cancerous conditions. If one notices any changes, doctor should be consulted promptly as early detection is a must.
Participants can register at 9646072207 and wear PINK to support the cause as they join.
The event will begin at 5pm and end as the sun sets.
