Akanksha Sharma Calls Working with Suniel Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi a “Dream Come True”

Actress Akanksha Sharma, who makes her big-screen debut as Rajal in the upcoming historical action drama Kesari Veer, recently opened up about her heartfelt experience working alongside Bollywood veterans Suniel Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi. In a media interaction, Sharma described the film set as a deeply personal and emotional space, especially because of the bond she formed with Shetty, who plays her on-screen father.

“Suniel Shetty plays my father in the film, and since I live away from my own family, I felt an emotional connection with him on set. It really felt like having my own dad around,” Akanksha shared. She also expressed her admiration for co-star Sooraj Pancholi, calling the experience of working with him a long-held dream. “Working with Sooraj has been nothing short of magical. I feel like I manifested this moment all my life, and now it’s finally come true.”

Kesari Veer is a 2025 Hindi-language historical action film directed by Prince Dhiman and written, co-directed, and co-produced by Kanubhai Chauhan of Chauhan Studios. The film features a powerful ensemble including Suniel Shetty, Vivek Oberoi, Sooraj Pancholi, and Akanksha Sharma in lead roles. Initially scheduled for release on May 16, the film will now hit cinemas worldwide on May 23, 2025.

Backed by producers Rajen, Heena, Suhraj, and Ohm Chauhan, Kesari Veer promises a gripping blend of history, action, and emotion. With a strong patriotic theme and a cast that bridges generations, the film aims to connect with audiences on both a cinematic and emotional level. For Akanksha Sharma, it’s not just a debut — it’s the fulfillment of a lifelong aspiration.
