108 Ambulance Leads Punjab’s Emergency Healthcare with Unmatched Service & Life-Saving Interventions

The 108 Ambulance service has once again proven to be Punjab’s most trusted emergency healthcare provider, delivering critical care and life-saving assistance to thousands. Over the past year, from January 2024 to February 2025, the service responded to an astounding 218,911 cases. This achievement reflects the efficiency, extensive reach and dedication of the 108 Ambulance team, who work tirelessly to ensure timely medical intervention.

Among the many milestones of the year, one of the most remarkable has been the successful handling of 205 deliveries in ambulance, across Punjab. These cases highlight not only the growing reliance on 108 Ambulance but also the expertise and preparedness of its paramedics in managing childbirth under urgent and often challenging conditions. Jalandhar recorded the highest number of emergency deliveries at 22, followed closely by Ludhiana with 21, Amritsar with 15 and Patiala and Hoshiarpur with 14 each. These numbers showcase the level of trust people place in the 108 service and the exceptional training of its medical teams, ensuring safe deliveries even in high-risk situations.

108 Ambulance has played a crucial role in addressing a vast range of medical emergencies across Punjab. Over the past year, the service responded to 23,111 cardiac emergencies, ensuring patients received critical pre-hospital care. Medical emergencies remained the largest category, with 81,101 cases attended, demonstrating the extensive reach and impact of the service. Pregnancy-related emergencies accounted for 64,344 cases, reaffirming the ambulance service’s commitment to maternal and neonatal care. Road accidents continued to be a major area of focus, with 30,042 cases requiring urgent medical intervention. Additionally, 20,313 other critical emergencies were handled, proving that 108 Ambulance is a lifeline for countless people in urgent need of medical attention.

Speaking about the remarkable performance over the year, Manish Batra, Project Head, 108 Ambulance, expressed pride in the dedication of the team. “These numbers are not just statistics; they represent lives saved, families supported and hope restored. 108 Ambulance stands as Punjab’s foremost emergency response service, committed to reaching people in their most vulnerable moments.
